About Us
Welcome to Shri Radha Gauseva and Charitable Trust
Gaurakshashalas, also known as Gaushalas or cow shelters, are facilities committed to the care, protection, and well-being of cows, which hold a special place in Indian culture and religion. These institutions serve as sanctuaries for cows that are old, sick, injured, abandoned, or no longer productive in terms of milk. The concept of Gaurakshashalas is deeply rooted in the belief that cows are sacred and should be treated with the utmost respect and care.
To make matters worse, cows that are no longer deemed productive are often sold to slaughterhouses, where they face a cruel and premature end. This practice starkly contrasts with the teachings of compassion and respect for all living beings that have been a part of many cultural and religious traditions.
